In 1995 he founded Sentive Trading, LLC--a trading and consulting firm. He is author of Dave Landry on Swing Trading (2000), Dave Landry’s 10 Best Swing Trading Patterns & Strategies (2003), and The Layman’s Guide to Trading Stocks (2010). His books have been translated into Korean, Russian, Italian, French, Japanese, and Chinese. He has made several television appearances, has written articles for Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities, Active Trader, Currency Trader, Traders Journal-Singapore, and TRADERS'. He has been publishing daily web-based commentary on technical trading since 1997. He has spoken at trading conferences both nationally and internationally. Damon Pavlatos CEO, Future Path Trading LLC & PhotonTraderBio: In the last 41 years, Damon Pavlatos has multi-faceted industry experience that includes the following: Since 1977, he has held Exchange Memberships on the CME, CBOT and Mid America Exchange. He has traded Futures and Options for over 39 years specializing in Index Futures. From 1981 to 2000, Damon managed the CME Index and Floor operations for Shearson American Express, L.I.T. America, Gerald Inc. and Rand Financials. During his many years in the industry, Damon has supplied Technical Market Analysis and Trade Execution for various Index Funds, Institutions, and Exchange Members. Damon has been featured at tradeshows, futures seminars, and in various trading books. In 2000, Damon became a Principal Partner of FuturePath Trading ® LLC (FPT), an IIB in the Futures industry. FuturePath Trading is a technology-driven futures brokerage firm that currently owns PhotonTrader, an electronic software trading platform. Damon has been the driving force behind the development of PhotonTrader. Currently he is concentrating on platform development and further expanding the capabilities of PhotonTrader. In addition, Damon has created training and educational programs for traders, stemming from his years of experience as a trader. Mike Jones, MBA Data Engineer/Data Scientist, GGU MBA Alumni, TSAA-SF President (Incoming) Bio: Mike Jones has a very database centric world view. He is a database consultant specializing in data warehouses with deep experience implementing analytic systems. He has worked in a variety of roles such as database administrator, data engineer and data scientist. Over the past 20 years, his career has spanned several industries including: financial services, advertising, blockchain, and video games. During this time he has developed a set of programming methods and techniques to quickly build high performance programs that are fast, effective & accurate. It is by using these techniques that he will show how a database system can be constructed and used for Technical Analysis. Through a handful of small Python and SQL (Postgres) programs, he will illustrate a three-phase model for of Data Science Operations. Specifically, he will demonstrate how to: [A] Gather and collect OHLCV data & put it into a database system (ETL), [B] Compute Technical Analysis indicators (Data Processing), and then [C] Display and interpret the results (Visualization and Reporting). Mike will give a glimpse under the hood of how computer scientists create and add value to the data that is so central to our lives and how society works. Robert Schott, CMT Investment Solutions Portfolio Manager, President of AAPTA, University of Connecticut Professor (Investments and Risk Management) Bio: An expert in Global Markets, Investment, Risk and Asset Allocation, Robert served as one of General Electric Asset Management’s Portfolio Managers for Tactical Asset Allocation. In this senior role he managed asset allocation across the investment classes & markets for Pension and Balanced Funds. He provided Tactical Asset Allocation advice to clients, & enhanced portfolio performance through overlays, hedges, manager selection & alternative investments. An expert in Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Global Investment & Derivatives, he has extensive Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Mutual Fund Management, Investment & ALM experience. Robert is a Master's Degree Instructor on Investments & Risk at the University of Connecticut. An expert in derivatives, he brings over forty years of financial market experience to the position. Robert most recently served as a consultant to GECC on both country and market risks. Previously, Robert was Director of Capital Markets, Landesbank Baden Wuertemberg; Director of Derivatives, Foreign Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange at TIAA-CREF; and the Senior Investment Officer of Oppenheim International Finance, Dublin. In 1976, he earned his BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and in 1985 graduated from New York University with a MBA in Finance. Robert is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and market historian. Robert is currently president of the American Association of Technical Analysts (AAPTA). Linda Raschke Trader/Investor, Author of “Trading Sardines”Bio: Linda began her professional trading career in 1981 making markets in options on the exchange floors. She became a registered CTA in 1992 and was the principle trader for several hedge funds before starting her own hedge fund in 2002. Linda’s hedge fund was ranked 17th out of 4500 for best 5-year performance by BarclaysHedge. Raschke has been a full time trader for 43 years, and was featured in Jack Schwager's book, The New Market Wizards, as well as CNBC financial reporter Sue Herera's book, Women on the Street: making it on Wall Street - The Worlds Toughest Business. She also founded LBR Asset Management, co-wrote Street Smarts - High Probability Short Term Trading Strategies, and released Trading Sardines: Lessons in the Market from a Lifelong Trader in 2019.
