TSAA-SF Monthly Virtual Member Gathering
Please join us for our next TSAA-SF monthly gathering of our membership. At these events we celebrate our Technical Analysis Heritage. Each month the members meet and consider the many aspects of T.A. or visual financial data analysis. The programs will profile the charting methods and techniques of our members and guest presenters.
Mike Jones and Bruce Fraser are co-hosts this month.
Topic: Intro to Artificial Intelligence (AI) - part 2 by Mike Jones
Video for part 1 on our homepage
Synopsis:
[1] An example of an agent based system - A robotic solution to the Rubik's cube will be given as an example of an agent based system. That system will be analyzed using basic concepts from Russel & Norvig's Artificial Intelligence a Modern Approach.
[2] Institutions and Luminaries - A survey of recent talks from leading institutions, scholars and industry practitioners will be presented for the purposes of understanding:
* AI in general,
* the current moment we are in,
* some history as to how we've arrived at this moment, and
* possible directions for future work.
[3] An analytic framework - In the 1980s, psychologists proposed a classification of human intelligence into 8 distinct categories. Additionally, one of the videos given in [2] offers a simple progressive model for evaluating "the ten stages of AI". The Gartner Hype
Cycle, and the Law of Diffusion of Innovation will also be introduced. These in combination will be considered as a framework for contextualizing and understanding AI in terms of sophistication, capability, & technological developments.
Zoom link will be sent out to registered attendees. This event is open to guests and the general public. Please feel free to invite your friends and family!
